Nonreligious people: what turned you away from your religion (if you were in one)?

Initially the history of the church. When I learned what hypocrites they were ( I specifically remember learning of the burning of Jan Hus) I realized that all that peace of love stuff was a lie, at least in so far as Christians were concerned. That was in third grade. Later I learned all the logical problems with religion.
