Why do some Christian religions argue about who is Christian and who is not?

Who are they to judge? Seriously... How in the world can any one look at another person and say "you're not christian because you are a member of this or that church." A person's relationship with God is personal. How can someone have the gall to say what another person believes or doesn't believe or what they are or aren't?
